There are some articles in the Networking Center (linked above) that you can try as well. See if any of them help, and if not, let us know and we'll see what else we can suggest. Those 3 steps tend to be the best early steps to try. Dell Update Packages (DUP) in Microsoft Windows 32bit format have been designed to run on Microsoft Windows 64bit Operating Systems. (Don't forget to reset your security back on after testing it). This package provides the driver for Dell Wireless 1705 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHZ) + Bluetooth Driver and is supported on Inspiron 3135/3137/3138 running the following Operating Systems: Windows 8.1. If they do, then it's a setting / configuration / compatibility issue with your system's card, security software, etc. If the above 2 steps don't help, try removing all the security settings from your router, temporarily, and see if the connection speeds improve.
What modem / router are you connecting to wirelessly? Have you updated the firmware on that modem / router since you started using the XPS system? That would be my second recommendation.ģ. Click on the Drivers & Downloads section and check under Networking to see if there is an updated driver for your DW1703 card. What version of the driver for that card are you using? You can go to our Dell Support Home Page, insert your service tag, and the pages will redirect you to the support pages for your system. Have you taken a look at the Dell Network & Wireless Support Center? There are some good articles in there that may help you out.ġ.
